Before leaving for the 28th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup-2015, starting in Malaysia, Indian men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh and his team are keen on this first tournament of the year. Starting from March 23 in Ipoh, Malaysia, India has to play its first match with Asian champions Japan. Both teams had previously faced each other in the Asian Champions Trophy last year.

Before the departure, Captain Manpreet said, this is the first tournament of this season and, naturally, we are very excited to start its positive. Performing well in this will help us in the FIH Men Series Finals in Bhubaneswar. In this prestigious tournament, hosts of Malaysia, Canada, Korea, South Africa, and Asian Games champions Japan are participating in addition to India. He said that we have worked hard at the camp for the tournament.

By practicing warm weather in the camp at noon, we will help in coordination with the conditions in Ipoh. India will play their second match in the tournament on 24 March from Korea and the third match on March 26 from the Asian Games silver medalist Malaysia.
